Linoleum printmaking melds my three passions – wood carving, printmaking, and oil-based inks – into one medium that provides endless challenges. My subject matter focuses on Northwest flora and fauna, reflecting the nature that surrounds us in Portland, Oregon. Because of the limitations of using a small etching press, my designs are planned to fit together into a larger matrix and hand sewn to a large piece of Arches paper.
Featured prints are available as commercial wallpaper exclusively through Portland wallpaper boutique, Manolo Walls.
In the beginning of my journey as a full-time artist, I wanted my work to be available to a larger audience, beyond only fine art collectors, and to be somehow useful. When I had enough to fill a gallery, I began showing my work all over Oregon. Once I developed a cohesive body of work, Manolo Walls began reproducing my works as high-end wallpaper.
